Engines
 

TDKMotorsports Yamaha engines are the result of several years of Dyno testing
and track experience. Engines are built "class specific" for the class specified
 by the customer.
Every class requires special considerations.
 

While many engine builders will supply you with a generic off the shelf engine,
when you call TDKMotorsports and ask for a JR1 engine you will recieve an
engine specifically configured for JR1, not simply a "pipe" engine with a
JR carb bolted on or vice-versa. Jr1, JR2, Sportsman and Pipe class engines are
all different.
 

All of the engines below can be configured for all classes, call or Email to
discuss your specific needs.


"Basic" Blueprinted Yamaha

"Basic" blueprinting includes:

Cut top and bottom of cases and cylinder perpendicular to crank centerline,
hone cylinder for proper piston clearance, cut cylinder head for squish and cc's,
adjust port heights. Crankshaft checked and straightened as needed.
All specs set according to the specified racing class.
IKF & WKA legal

New parts included
(when different from new stock parts)

Basic "Plus" Yamaha

Includes "Basic" engine plus:

"Lite" Wrist pin
Loose needle upper bearing
Upper thrust washers
"Cranksaver" Sleeved crank
Yellow Teflon crank seals
Blueprinted stock carb with filter cup,
"flex-T" low speed needle, and throttle kit.
Spark plug
Chain guard/TCI mount
Dyno break-in and dyno sheets included

Full Race Engine with all the good parts
This is the engine that you need to win
on a national level.

Includes "basic" and "plus" packages plus:

Blueprinted cases precision machined by
Pete Muller, including true'd and cut in every
possible direction, line bored bearing pockets
installed with double row bearings.
These are VERY NICE for the price, adding power
durability and value to your engine.
Dyno break-in and dyno sheets

(Includes more extensive dyno testing to draw out the last bits of power)
(customer must supply pipes or mufflers of their choice)

($50 when exchanged for stock carb and cup)

Engine Rebuilding services

Your engine rebuilt to the same exacting specs as the above engines
using the same quality parts and techniques.
Adjustments made to suit your intended class.

Rebuilding starts at $100 labor plus parts.
